Glycol Water Module

Cryocad designed a compact glycol-water pump skid for an LNG-powered passenger ferry. The system drives the glycol-water circulation loop, using the engine’s waste heat to vaporize LNG for fuel supply, while also enabling cold recovery by channeling LNG’s cooling energy back into onboard systems such as air conditioning.

The scope of work included the complete 3D skid design: modular frame layout, arrangement of pumps, piping, and equipment, as well as pre-routing of cabling. Despite the compact footprint, special care was taken to ensure full accessibility for operation and maintenance. Flow paths, inlet and outlet runs, and service clearances were optimized to guarantee durability and reliable long-term operation.

Deliverables comprised detailed 3D models, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics, and bills of materials, supporting seamless prefabrication and installation of the fully modularized skid.
